Tim’s Ford Lake | Nashville Waterfront

Located 75 miles southeast of Nashville in Winchester, Tenn., Tim’s Ford Lake is another popular Middle Tennessee lake.

Tim’s Ford Lake is located within Tim’s Ford State Park and offers all of the recreation treats that make any lake fun: boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, fishing, picnicking, hiking and biking. The state park also has 20 cabins available for rent as well as a 52-site campground with water and electric, 50 individual tables and grills and two picnic shelters. The state park is also home to a large L-shaped swimming pool featuring a 12-foot diving pool and children’s wading pool. A lifeguard is on duty during daytime swimming hours and the pool is open from Memorial Day through mid-August.

Tim’s Ford Lake was created by the damming of the Elk River and covers 10,700 acres. A marina on the lake has boats for rent as well as boating and fishing equipment. The lake is said to be prime for bass fishing.
