Be A Man…Move to Nashville!

From the Nashville Business Journal…

Study: Nashville is ‘Manliest City’
A new study ranks Nashville as “America’s Manliest City,” because of its concentration of NASCAR enthusiasts and barbeque restaurants and its popularity for hunting and fishing.
The study, done by Sperling’s BestPlaces, ranked the 50 largest metropolitan areas. The city’s manliness was determined by how many American-made cars were driven in the city, the number of sports bars and barbeque restaurants, number of home improvement and hardware stores and salty snacks consumption. (Mars Inc., the maker of Combos, paid for the study.)

Cities lost points in the study for having an abundance of home furnishing stores, high minivan sales and subscription rates to beauty magazines.

Charlotte, N.C., and Oklahoma City ranked second and third in the study for manliest.
New York was last, losing points in the fishing, home improvment and drag racing categories — despite high rankings in the bowling category.

St. Louis has the highest concentration of sports bars in the country, and Grand Rapids, Mich., has the most monster truck rallies per capita, according to the study.
